Joshua has been coaching gymnastics for over 23 years with experience from preschool to elite levels with several Nation Champions. He has United States Association of Gymnastics (USAG) Professional Development Program and United States Trampoline and Tumbling Association (USTA) coaching certifications and is Safety Certified in both. Joshua was also the Colorado E.A.G.L.E.S. (Elementary Artistic Gymnastic League and Education System) State Director for 3 years and is a certified member of the Positive Coaching Alliance (www.positivecoach.org).
Former students have gone on to be USAG, USTA & NCAA National Champions as well as World Championship Team Medalists.
Joshua is the only coach in Colorado to ever have in the same the year, USAG State Champions in Men’s and Women’s Gymnastics, Regional Championship Qualifiers place top 10 in Men’s and Women’s Gymnastics along with having USAG State Champions in Trampoline, Power Tumbling, and Double-mini Trampoline that also went on to place in the top 10 at nationals.
Joshua was Class 1 Gymnast (Level 10 equivalent) and a State and Regional champion. He is U.S Army 82nd Airborne Paratrooper, Helicopter Crew Chief and Desert Shield/Desert Storm war veteran. His interests and hobbies include camping, paint ball, mini golf and going live theater.
Margaret has been coaching gymnastics for over 30 years, specializing in Preschool. She has a degree in Physical Education K-12 from Southeast Missouri State University where she was a competitive gymnast for 4 years. While there Margaret received All-American honors on vault.
Margaret is USAG Safety Certified, as well as, certified in the American Red Cross First Aid and CPR. She holds a “Gold Seal” Kinder Accreditation Certificate (KAT) from USA Gymnastics and was one of the first 75 teachers to receive this certificate.
Her love for the sport of gymnastics combined with her great love for children makes Margaret a perfect fit for the job!
Erik participated in gymnastics for 17 years and competed as a level 10 Elite gymnast. Erik has coached for the last 18 years and has been a boys director for 15 years. He has coached level 4-10 with many athletes at nationals and athletes who have graduated with scholarships for college. Erik has attended the National Coaches Clinic at the Olympic training center 10+ years. Erik has coached Air Force Academy gymnastics camps since 2008. Region 9 developmental camp host 2011, 12, 13, 14.

Erin graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Applied Health Science. She majored in Human Development and Family Studies and also earned a minor in Sociology. She was a competitive gymnast for 5 years in USAG and dove in college. Erin has an athletic and coaching background in gymnastics, diving, and volleyball. She is a USAV member and is also CPR/First Aid certified. In her free time she loves playing volleyball, creating new businesses, running, hiking, boxing, and trying new recipes in her crock pot.

Markie is a 3rd Degree Black Belt and a former USA Taekwondo Junior and Collegiate National Champion. She has represented the US in over a dozen international competitions for over 10 years and her highest ranking was 36th in the world. During this time Markie coached multiple Taekwondo athletes from around the world, specializing in organizing Martial Arts Camps. Markie has her degree in Psychology from California State University Northridge and is a NESTA Certified Sport and Performance Psychology Coach. After retiring from competitive Taekwondo she began coaching all sports athletes in mental skills training and soon found a passion working with gymnasts. She enjoys working in A+ Athletics positive coaching atmosphere and is pursuing her masters degree in Psychology at CU Denver. In her free time, Markie enjoys hanging out with her dog, Ammo, painting, hiking, snowboarding, and discovering Colorado.
Jessica Van Doozer
Jessica has been coaching at A+ Athletics since the summer of 2011 and has over 10 years of dancing and gymnastic experience. Jessica coaches camps, preschool, beginning girls, and beginning TNT classes. She is also CPR/First Aid certified. Outside of the gym Jessica is working towards a degree in Biology and once completed, she plans on becoming a zookeeper. Her hobbies include tennis and theater.
Mallory has been involved in gymnastics and cheerleading since the age of three, where she competed in state and with her high school. She has worked in the gymnastics and cheerleading industry for 9 years. She strives to inspire and motivate athletes to grow to their full potential. Mallory is very excited about working with all athletes at A+ Athletics.
Britanny was a competitive gymnast for 10 years; at both the club and high school levels. She is also a CHSAA (Colorado High School Athletic Association) Gymnastics Judge and is CPR/First Aid certified. She is attending the University of Colorado Denver majoring in Mathematics Education and a minor in Physics. When she’s not working or at school she enjoys being in outdoors.
